♥ Lukas Glen and Maddox Avery ♥

For those of you who are wondering what we are going to name the babies....our little boy is Lukas Glen and our little girl is Maddox Avery. Cody and I are very lucky that we tend to like the same thing. When we picked names it wasn't an option for one of us to like it and the other one to just deal with it. Every name we picked was mutually liked and neither of us had to compromise. Once we had these two names, they were immediately our favorites and therefore we now have named the babies!

On another note, I have mentioned several times that we feel truly blessed to have an amazing support system in our lives. This became apparent this weekend, when Cody's parents drove down to help us get our nursery put together. Building 2 cribs and a dresser set may sound easy in theory but it is way more difficult than the directions implied. ;) We had lot's of laughs and maybe a few arguments, but it all came together to make a beautiful nursery. We aren't fully finished, but it is well on it's way to being done! Thank you Terry and Ione for being apart of this journey and helping us make the nursery beautiful!

Last, I will leave you with a couple belly pics. It's getting pretty "out there", so view at your own risk! Thank you for checking in!

20 Weeks (5 Months)

Everything is changing so quickly these days! The babies are moving like crazy and Cody got to feel his first kick! 90% of the time Cody can't feel them move when I feel them, because they are still pretty small. However, yesterday he felt the little guy move for the first time. It was a pretty neat experience for both of us.

At 20 weeks the babies are around 10" each from head to heal, or their food comparison is the size of a banana! Why they compare them to food, I may never know but you get the idea.

I go to my 20 week appointment with my OBGYN tomorrow. I see him and my Perinatologist a week apart until closer to delivery. It is hard to believe that I'm over halfway through this pregnancy. Most twins deliver around 4 weeks early, which puts my due date around December 14th. However, we are shooting for 37 to 38 weeks. The longer they can stay in there the better :)

I will leave with my 20 week belly pic. Since I'm growing so rapidly, we're going to try and post a pic for every week.

Our Anniversary with our little BOY and GIRL!!!

Cody and I went in today to get our 19 week sonogram and to find out the sex of our little "beans"! Unfortunately, we will no longer be calling them "beans" because we know we are having a little BOY and a little GIRL!!!

The sonogram took around 1 hour and the Twins are looking healthy and happy. Our little boy is already a show off and he was more than happy to expose his goods to his awaiting parents =) When we saw his "business", Cody immediately said "I know what that is..!!" Such a proud papa. He also kept opening his mouth, it looked like he was talking...now we know for sure Cody has to be the father if he is chatting this early!!!

Our little girl is a little shy or stubborn depending on how you look at it. She crossed her legs the entire time, and turned away from any facial pictures. After I moved from side to side, gave her a talking to, and jossled her around...She must have finally realized how persistant her mother can be and she showed off her business...or lack thereof. =)

For those of you who relied on the old wive's tale that if the heartbeat is above 140 bpm then it is a girl and if it is below it is a boy...tisk tisk....you were WRONG!!! The little man had a heartbeat of 153 bpm and the little girl had a heartbeat of 141 bpm.

I also didn't realize how much these kids can move! They were everywhere. The little girl started out in the lower right side of my abdomen, but by the end of the sonogram she was up under my ribs laying across my upper stomach. No wonder I have been having stomach cramps!!!

The excitement has been overwhelming. We decided to take the day off, because we knew all productivity was out of the window!

Since our anniversary is tomorrow, we used today as the day to celebrate. Cody took me and the kids to Del Frisco's Steakhouse. We are soo very much in love and at such a wonderful place in our lives...

Cody and I are soo very happy about the news and we know that we have two miracles growing rapidly. We also feel truly blessed that we have such a wonderful support system from our family and friends! Thank you for being a part of this special time and we look forward to keeping you up to date!

What a difference a Week makes...

I wrote in my 16 week update that it had seemed like magically a belly bump just appeared one day...

I thought you might like to see what a difference a week makes in a twin pregnancy =)

16 weeks looked like this...

We skipped 18 weeks on accident and

19 weeks...WHOA! Where did that come from?!?!?

19 weeks

I can feel the babies moving now and it is such a blessed feeling. I only notice it when I'm being super still, but when I feel them it gives me such a reassuring feeling!

Cody can't wait till he can feel them moving and he has already started to talk to them. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband who brightens everyday, who still calls me beautiful even when I'm feeling "bloated", and who makes a conscious effort to be a part of every experience I am having. He was definately sent to me from up above, because there is no way I could have found my perfect match on my own!

When people ask if I'm scared about raising twins I answer this.."If I had a husband who wasn't a part of anything and I felt that I was going to be taking care of two babies alone, I would probably be scared, but I have a husband who helps out everyday and together we can accomplish anything!"

On another note you better post your guess of the sex..because we are about to find out what we are having and we are SOOOOO excited! Keep praying that both of the kiddos will behave and show off their family jewels!!!
